State of Texas filed a case against four states

The state of Texas is assisting president Trump in his efforts to turn his nationwide electoral defeat into a victory. Texas, where the Republican Trump did win, goes to The Washington Supreme Court.

The Texas justice minister filed a case against four states where Biden got the majority, but Trump triumphed four years ago. It’s Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Texas says the four states went wrong. They changed in connection with the coronacris election procedures, but that would have been illegal.

The Supreme Court has a conservative majority of 6 to 3, including three judges appointed by Trump. The Supreme Court is not obliged to deal with the case.

The four states are crucial to victory. They represent 62 votes in the Electoral College of a total of 538 electors, which ultimately elects the president. Texas therefore calls for this vote to be postponed, which is due to take place on December 14th. The term was laid down in the law in 1887.

The step is the Trump camp’s latest legal effort to undo the president’s defeat. The numerous trials in the states themselves, according to Trump for alleged fraud, yielded nothing. The American president himself stated in an interview a little over a week ago that it is difficult to get the case before the Supreme Court.
