Rolling Stone Charted 21st Century Best Songs

Rolling Stone magazine compiled the list of 100 Greatest Songs of the Century – So Far, designed to collect the most successful achievements of the music industry since the early 2000s.

The list was compiled by panel of 100 music writers, critics, artists and industry insiders and published on the website of the publication was said to appear in the printed version in July issue.

For its compilation, the editorial staff appealed to musicians, producers, critics and industry experts, asking them to compose their own lists of the “best music” for 18 years from the beginning of the 2000s. Based on this information, they presented the final version of the chart.

In the first place in the ranking went to Beyoncé with the song Crazy in Love from the 2003 album Dangerously in Love.
In the second place – Paper Planes by British singer M.I.A. The third best song in the list was the Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.

Also in the top ten are Hey Ya! by Outkast, 99 Problems by Jay Zee, Maps by the indie band Yeah Yeah Yeahs (which the Rolling Stone earlier ranked 386th in their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time), Runaway by Kanye West, Rolling in the Deep by UK’s Adele, Royals by New Zealand singer Lorde, and Last Nite by The Strokes.

Last December, Billboard named the best song of 2017. The top line of the list was taken by Selena Gomez song Bad Liar, while Despacito Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, the video for which became the most popular video in the history of YouTube, took only the fourth line.
