Ebola caused 118 deaths in Congo

The Ebola epidemic in the East The Democratic Republic of Congo has already killed 118 people, including three children. It was reported by the latest balance sheet of the Congolese Ministry of Health.

The ministry has registered seven new confirmed Ebola cases, six of which were in the Beni region in the north-east of the country. Three of them, all three children, died outside the hospital.

In total, the outbreak has already killed 118 people. In 83 cases the Ebola infection was confirmed, with 35 other deaths it is a possible infection with the Ebola virus. The majority of the victims died before the government called out the epidemic in early August.

15,279 citizens of DR Congo are vaccinated. 51 people became infected, but survived the disease.
