Pennsylvania to expand mask mandate to include outdoor spaces

Pennsylvania’s mask mandate has been expanded to include outdoor areas where social distancing cannot be observed.

State Health Department Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine signed the new order Wednesday afternoon. Under the originally mandate, masks were only required inside businesses and other establishments besides your personal home.

Governor Tom Wolf said the state’s COVID-19 hot spots could be traced to situations where people weren’t wearing masks or practicing social distancing.

The order will remain in effect until further notice.
